Finding Carter Episode Review – “Shut Up and Drive”

Finding Carter

Season 2 | Episode 2 | Aired April 7, 2015

Alright, where do I start? Once again Finding Carter manages to squeeze so much in forty-two minutes and I don’t know how they manage to do it.

Well first of all, Crash is back! Last we saw Crash he was getting arrested after Carter helped Elizabeth track him down. Now he’s apparently out of jail and has been following Max around in the hopes of getting Max to forgive him. Crash’s return causes a lot of tension between Carter and her family. Taylor and Grant are both angry with their sister because they think Carter is going to go back to Crash and Carter is angry with her mother because Elizabeth knew Crash had been released from prison and not said anything. Kid’s been back for ten minutes and he’s already causing chaos.

There’s also been a lot of chaos surrounding Taylor this episode. It becomes apparent that the reveal of Lori being the egg donor has affected her more than she saying. She’s getting mad at everyone and saying how different everyone is, going on about how she wants everyone to move on and go back to normal. But really the only one not acting normal is Taylor.

I Think It'd Probably be Good

Taylor actually makes the decision to break up with Max (after only getting back together last week) as she feels it’s for the best. This leaves an interesting question of what’s going to happen now. Max lives in the house so is he going to continue living there? That’ll certainly make for an interesting plot line. Honestly though, as much as I love their relationship, they are two completely different people now. And who can blame them? With everything that’s happened to both of them they need to sort themselves out before they can work together.

I also want to see what’s going to happen with Taylor and Ofe. There was a definite closeness in last nights episode and while I would love for it to just remain a friendship and have Taylor and Ofe be each others go-to people, this is a teen drama on MTV. So we’ll see what happens there.

The other big thing that happened last night was David revealing to Carter that he’d had an affair with Lori. Now, I’m going to be going back and watching the episode again because at one point he says he had a one night stand with Lori and then he talks about meeting her when the twins were a year old, meanwhile Lori’s talking about this grand affair and scheme so I want to make sure I know completely what happened.

It’s definitely going to be interesting to see what happens next week with the affair now out in the open. On one hand, Elizabeth had an affair too, but then on the other hand, David had an affair with the one who then kidnapped their daughter and his went way deeper than hers did.

This show… I just… It always leaves you questioning things and then questioning yourself for questioning those things.

What do you think is going to happen next week? Is something going to happen with Taylor and Ofe? Will Elizabeth forgive David?
