This was a great way to kick off the new season! There were some amazing performances and some not so amazing performances, but the best part was definitely seeing the introductions to the new cast and getting an idea of how they’ll do this season.

There were a couple really uncomfortable moments like when Paula Deen talked about her underwear. Also when Carrie Ann was making some sexual comments about Hayes Grier that was pretty creepy, though he did the exact same thing to Emma all during their intro video so it’s just a creepy situation all around.

Gary Busey was… interesting. That’s really all I can say about it right now. I bet he is going to be quite the character throughout his entire run on this season.

Bindi and Derek did amazing! Their performance was just so fun to watch and I enjoyed it so much, it was great to see! Julianne even called their dance the best performance of the night!

Something I thought was funny was during Nick and Sharna’s performance Nick was making boy band faces. Like, all dancers make different expressions when they’re dancing, but his were definitely looking like those that boy band members would make in their music videos back in the day. His Backstreet Boy side was definitely showing.

Now I’m Team Crikey all the way, rooting for Bindi and Derek. But I have to admit, I’m also really excited to see Andy and Alison dancing. I love Andy’s song and I thought Alison did phenomenal last season so I’m really excited to see how they do too!
